StoneStory does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the service. When you upload a tombstone photograph, it is transmitted securely to our AI processing service to extract genealogical information. We do not retain the photograph or the extracted data on our servers after the response is returned to you.
How your data is stored
All extracted information — names, dates, family tree data — is stored locally in your browser. It remains on your device and is not accessible to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for stonestory.app.
Third-party services
We use third-party AI services to process tombstone images and perform genealogical research. Tombstone content you upload is shared with these services solely for the purpose of providing the StoneStory features. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
Cookies and analytics
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. We may use basic, anonymous usage metrics to improve the service.
Children
StoneStory is intended for users 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
